Military and Veteran Services
UM’s long-standing military legacy continues today through the courageous achievements of the Griz community.
Our university is home to over 1,400 military-affiliated students, comprising 12% of the UM student body.
Per capita, Montana is home to the nation's third-largest population of veterans.
UM provides a supportive experience for our military-affiliated students through the Military and Veterans Office on campus.
They assist students in maximizing education benefits, including the GI Bill®️, military tuition assistance, financial aid and more.
UM President Seth Bodnar and Military and Veterans Services Director Patrick Beckwith are Army veterans and both currently serve in the National Guard.
“We clearly understand where our students are coming from while empowering them to get where they want to go,” says Beckwith.
During the month of November, current and former military members will receive application fees waived for the MBA, MSBA and MAcct programs.
Applicants will need to submit the UM College of Business Graduate Programs inquiry form and select "Military Affiliation" on the form to receive a waived application fee.
